What Makes Us Who We Are

MK Consulting is a family-oriented business, with the capability of designing systems of all sizes, in single locations or multiple locations. Our founder, Marshall Merritt, is a community minded person that values simplicity and technology at the same time. He understands that helping others in the community, whether it be a charitable organization, or one of his children’s sports teams, in turn, provides immeasurable reward to him and his family. Marshall attended Clemson University and majored in computer science. He possesses multiple skills and certifications in the technology arena, including system deployment, web development, wireless networking, IT management, wireless security, cloud computing, technology integration, network design, IT strategy, information security, trouble shooting, operating system development, and multiple Apple Certifications.

Marshall built his company based on a key principle: create a system or infrastructure that custom fits the needs of a customer with the best technology available and make it easy and simple to use. He routinely trains his team to be technically proficient while understanding that a customer must come first. Marshall is a big believer in offering value beyond expectation to his customer, without cutting corners. His understanding of advanced technology, the value of quality, and the ability to help a business become better, more efficient, and safer for employees and their customers, often produces accolades from the businesses he serves.

Meet Our Team Leaders

Jacob Pearce – Project Manager

Jacob “Jake” Pearce is a Project Manager for MK Consulting. He wear’s many hats within the company as he is involved in many critical functions. From programming technology, planning and quoting, to running wires, as a lead technician, Jake makes things work “the right way.” Jake takes time for family, enjoys reading, and volunteering with his local church. He’s been married for 10 years to his beautiful wife Anna and has two children. Jake has been with MK Consulting for 3 years and spent 4 years in an adjacent field prior to joining “MK.” He’s very proud of the team he works with, and humbly admits he’s learned a great deal from what he calls “an amazing group of guys.” During his tenure at MK Consulting, Jake has become a certified partner with Prodatakey (PDK) and has a Control4 Automation Programmer Certification.

Rocco Buchetto – Lead Technician

Rocco “Roc” Buchetto is a lead technician for MK Consulting. Roc started in the industry in 1997 as an installer and repair technician for a major national company. Roc has been with the “MK” team for one year and already plays a pivotal and essential role with the company. He’s regularly involved with setting up and programing equipment, layout and design of systems and components, low voltage wiring, fiber splicing, and installation many different types of electronic devices. He’s recently become ProdataKey (PDK) certified and is also Aerial Lift Vehicle and pole climbing certified. He is CPR certified too. Roc is married to his beautiful wife Amber and has three children. Roc greatly appreciates MK Consulting because it gives him the opportunity to stay up to date with the latest and greatest technology. Roc loves the close-knit family type feel that MK Consulting provides.
